The More Power EP is a collection of UKG inspired remixes and instrumentals. The title track “More Power” is an invigorating 2-step rhythm with heavy kicks, vocal chops, and rolling bass.

The energy continues with “Say Cheese.” A remix of Bad Bunny’s hit “Tití Me Preguntó,” it blends the sounds of London UKG with the rhythm and energy of Puerto Rico. The project is completed by “Hard to Believe,” a remix of SiR’s RnB track “Nothing Even Matters” featuring a repetitive, rising organ line, thumping drums and a deep, driving bass.

Johann Sebastian’s UKG journey began in the early 2000s as a college roommate hip to London’s club scene fed him tunes from The Streets, Daniel Bedingfield, Artful Dodger and others. Now Johann is returning to those sounds. The swinging, syncopated rhythms of jazz samples and production by A Tribe Called Quest and J Dilla had initially drawn Johann into Hip-Hop. Now, the swung rhythms of UK Garage provide an open canvas for creative rhythm, groove, and deep feel.

More Power is a call to action, urging us to keep moving forward and to not be afraid of progression and taking risks with ourselves and our music.
