This UK Garage-influenced track is the title cut from his upcoming EP of the same name. With “More Power” Johann turns his focus from the hip-hop production he is known for and digs into the UKG sound, interpreting big bass, 2-step rhythms and vocal chops through his eclectic style.

Johann Sebastian’s UKG journey began in the early 2000s as a college roommate hip to London’s club scene fed him tunes from The Streets, Daniel Bedingfield, Artful Dodger and others. Now Johann is returning to those sounds. The swinging, syncopated rhythms of jazz samples and production by A Tribe Called Quest and J Dilla had initially drawn Johann into Hip-Hop. Now, the swung rhythms of UK Garage provide an open canvas for creative rhythm, groove, and deep feel.

“More Power” is a call to action for listeners and other artists to keep on progressing.
